Word of the Week – “Salubrious”

Challenge #53 calls for me to expand my vocabulary and learn a new word every week.

I recently stumbled upon my husbands Twitter bio, where he described being married to the ‘Salubrious Mrs T’! I quite liked how it rolls off of the tongue, but knowing my husbands penchant for compliments, he could well be calling me a ‘tired, old boot’. So I thought I’d better crack open the dictionary and check out the meaning …….

Salubrious

Health- giving; healthy

(Of a place) pleasant, not run-down

I’ll take ‘pleasant, not run down’ as a slightly out of context, laughable compliment – it could have been far worse!

Pop back next week for the second word of the week instalment.
